OURS Program

Organized Useful Rehabilitation Services (OURS)

OURS (Organised Useful Rehabilitation Service) Program is an intervention of Ankole Diocese under the Ankole Diocesan Synod, founded in 1995 to provide rehabilitation services to children with disabilities in the West and South West of Uganda.

The program was established with startup support from a Christian Organization in Holland known as Evangelistic Omorep (EO), together with Ankole Diocese under the leadership of the late Emeritus Bishop Amos Betungura. It gained momentum when CBM joined in partnership in 1995.

OURS is a Community-Based Inclusive Development (CBID) program operating under Ruharo Mission Hospital. Through community structures, OURS identifies, assesses, and supports children with disabilities (CWDs) to access various rehabilitation services either at OURS or partner organizations like CoRSU Hospital (Entebbe), Kataremwa Cheshire Home, Cure Hospital (Mbale), and Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital.
